Lynx Motors and Graham Rahal Performance announced plans to offer a street version of the Ford Matech Concepts GT1 race car for Le Mans.
This comes after Lynx acquired the assets of Matech Concepts following the Swiss company declaring bankruptcy. Now, they plan to transform the first-generation chassis into a hypercar for the streets.
They haven’t provided many details, but it’s expected that the street version of the Ford GT will feature a wider stance, carbon fiber bodywork, and aerodynamic improvements.

In the photos, it’s still visible that the car will have a front splitter and a significant rear spoiler, giving it an even more “race car” vibe. However, little is known about the car’s interior.
The car is expected to feature a six-speed manual transmission, as well as a supercharged V8 engine producing more than 1,200 horsepower.
Twenty-eight units will be produced by Graham Rahal Performance in Zionsville, Indiana, and they are expected to cost around $1.7 million, not including additional modifications.
